Manhattan detectives are looking for three suspects involved in the fatal stabbing of a man in Times Square following an argument on Monday night.

According to police sources, the attack occurred near 132 West 43rd St., steps away from the Stephen Sondheim Theater and the National Debt Clock, just after 11:30 p.m. on May 4.

Officers from the Midtown South Precinct rushed to the location after receiving a 911 call of a person stabbed there. When they arrived, they found the victim, a 39-year-old man, who had a slash wound to his face and multiple stab wounds to his torso and back.

Police sources reported that the man had been attacked after he became embroiled in an argument with three other men. The dispute was captured by video cameras near the scene; however, the sources said the video did not pick up the deadly stabbing.

A search for the murder weapon ended with negative results, sources said.

EMS rushed the wounded victim to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Police have not yet released his identity, pending family notification.

No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing. Police said the suspects, one of whom wore all-black clothing, were last seen fleeing on foot eastbound along West 43rd Street.
