Considered the largest parade outside of India, this event features more than 50 marching bands and over 40 colorful floats showcasing exuberant pageantry. Each float is meticulously crafted according to its respective theme, representing India’s rich culture and historical legacy. The 36th Annual Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival celebrates the Year of the Horse with an unforgettable weekend of vibrant culture, thrilling dragon boat races, and family-friendly fun. This is the largest multicultural festival in New York and one of the largest Dragon Boat festivals in the US. The festival keeps up the age-old tradition of Dragon Boat Racing with a fleet of both traditional custom-made teak boats and modern fiberglass boats. In addition to the Dragon Boat races, there are activities for the entire family such as the Main Stage featuring live musical performances, Martial arts demonstrations, and much more; the Arts & Crafts area (showcasing traditional folk arts and crafts), or the International Food court where you can find food and snacks.
