Detectives in Manhattan are on the hunt for the suspect(s) who shot a man dead and left two people wounded in a shooting at a Harlem basketball court on Friday night.
Police said the gunfire erupted just before 10:25 p.m. on July 10 at the Martin Luther King Jr. Houses at 70 Lenox Ave. According to Pix11, the shooting happened on a basketball court during a competition.
Officers from the 28th Precinct and NYPD Public Service Area 5 responded to the location after receiving reports of shots fired at the location.
When they arrived, they found a 35-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his head. EMS rushed him to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital in critical condition; he was pronounced dead a short time later. Police have not yet released his identity, pending family notification.

Two other shooting victims were found at the crime scene, authorities said: a 28-year-old man shot in the shin, and a 22-year-old woman who took a bullet to her right forearm. EMS brought both victims to Harlem Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.
So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation, police said.

Through July 5, the 28th Precinct reported two homicides and four shootings year-to-date, down from four homicides and five shootings at the same time last year.
