Police said they are still looking for a tattooed maniac who slashed a commuter in a Midtown subway station early Friday morning.
Detectives released surveillance images of the suspect, who they said viciously slashed a man after a verbal dispute. Cops said the incident unfolded at 12:50 a.m. on May 15 inside the 49 Street subway station that houses the N, R and W lines.
Sources familiar with the investigation report that the suspect was selling entries to the station when a 35-year-old man declined, and the pair got into a verbal dispute. Things escalated when the perpetrator slashed the would-be rider with a box cutter across his neck.

EMS rushed the victim to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition and expected to survive. The suspect was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt and a white jacket. He wore a ponytail and had multiple face tattoos. He fled the station following the attack.
He remains at large.
