Macy’s iconic flower show returned for the spring season on Thursday.
Located at Macy’s Herald Square, “Homegrown” marks the retailer’s 51st annual spring kickoff, featuring vibrant floral installations throughout the store. This year’s show highlights America’s gardens, just in time for the nation’s 250th birthday in July.
“This year’s ‘Homegrown’ theme celebrates our country’s floral landscapes through an immersive journey across America brought to life with craftsmanship, artistry and multisensory experiences,” Sharon Otterman, chief marketing officer at Macy’s, said in a press release.
This year, Macy’s has also partnered with Valentino Beauty, which includes an exclusive multisensory exhibit where guests journey through a reimagined Roman palazzo. This experience is inspired by Valentino Beauty’s Born in Roma fragrance collection and features a series of monochromatic rooms that each incorporate a specific Born in Roma fragrance along with floral installations.

“The Valentino Beauty Born in Roma Palazzo experience epitomizes both the Born In Roma’s roots and the brand’s commitment to self-expression,” Claudia Marcocci, Valentino Beauty Global Brand President, said in a press release. “We’re honored to bring it to the clients of Macy’s Herald Square.”
In addition to the Valentino Beauty partnership, Macy’s has also partnered with LEGO® Blooms & Beyond, EFFY Fine Jewelry and Sunglass Hut.
Macy’s customers also have the opportunity to shop a collection of limited-edition flower show items, including a range of apparel, printed tote bags, key chains, magnets, watercolor paint sets, specialty Frango chocolates and even an exclusive candle from Apotheke.

On May 9, Macy’s will host a special Celebration Saturdays event honoring moms in celebration of Mother’s Day. The event will feature exclusive experiences and surprises, including beauty and fragrance consultations, live styling demonstrations, beauty masterclasses and monogramming and engraving services, all accompanied by free giveaways and gifts with purchase, while supplies last.
Additionally, Stella 34 Trattoria on Macy’s sixth floor will offer a prix-fixe Mother’s Day brunch. A special floral-themed menu will be available for a limited time.
The flower show will be on display through May 10. For more information on Macy’s Flower Show, please visit www.macys.com/flowershow.
