Restricted free agent forward Mohamed Diawara is on the verge of signing a multi-year, $10 million-plus deal to stay with the New York Knicks, as first reported by ESPN’s Shams Charania on Monday.

Diawara, selected No. 51 overall in the 2025 NBA Draft, appeared in 69 games for the champions during the regular season, averaging 3.6 points and 1.4 rebounds in 9.2 minutes per game.

Considered to be teeming with raw potential, he showed flashes of developing into a key future contributor, including a night against the New Orleans Pelicans on Dec. 29 in which he dropped 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field and a 4-of-4 showing from three-point range. On March 1, against the San Antonio Spurs, he posted 14 points in 15 minutes.
