New York Giants second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart addressed his teammates in a meeting on Wednesday regarding his introduction of President Donald Trump at a rally last week.

According to a report from Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, veteran leader Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and Jameis Winston also spoke, and the matter has been “worked through,” and they are “moving forward.”

Dart introduced Trump at a rally for New York Rep. Mike Lawler at Rockland Community College in Suffern, NY, on Friday.

“What an honor, what a privilege it is to be here,” Dart said. “And without further ado, I’m grateful, I’m honored, I’m pleasured to introduce the 45th and 47th president of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump.”

A day later, Giants second-year edge rusher Abdul Carter took to X, writing, “I thought this s—t was AI, what we doing man.”

Shortly after, he wrote, “Me and JD6 are good! We spoke earlier as Men. Yall can keep yall narratives.”

It also forced veteran receiver Darius Slayton to go on social media to deny a false claim saying that Dart had made a racist comment. Offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor also called out Ben Volin of the Boston Globe, who claimed that Dart “just divided the locker room.”

“Locker Room is fine,” Eluemunor wrote. “Focus on New England.”

Both Dart and Carter are the future of the new-look Giants, who resume OTAs on Friday. The 23-year-old quarterback went 4-8 as a starter last season, throwing for 15 touchdowns and rushing for an additional nine, which was the second-most in the modern era by a rookie quarterback. Carter shook off a slow start and multiple benchings to record 43 tackles and four sacks after being selected No. 3 overall out of Penn State.
