Woof Fest, New York City’s favorite dog-friendly Pride event, is back for 2026, bringing a free afternoon of costume contests, drag shows, live music, and family activities.

What to Expect at Woof Fest 2026
Woof Fest returns to Manhattan West Plaza on Saturday, June 6, bringing an afternoon of dogs, live entertainment, Pride celebrations, and family-friendly activities to Midtown.
The free event, which has become a popular annual Pride Month gathering for dog owners and families, runs from noon to 3 pm at 385 9th Ave.

Woof Fest Entertainment and Activities
One of the biggest draws is the “Walk of Pride” Catwalk Contest at 1:30 pm, where dogs and owners can show off colorful outfits and compete for prizes including “Most Pride: Dog” and “Most Pride: Prideful Pair.”
No advance registration is required for the contest. Participants can sign up onsite before the event begins.
In addition, comedian Jaye McBride will host the event alongside DJ Softee, with performances from drag artists Essa Noche and Mr. Pleasure, and live music from vocalist Emily Schultheis.
Families can also check out Paw Print Parlor keepsake art, temporary tattoo stations, dog training demonstrations with trainer Eric Vissichelli, and interactive activities throughout the plaza.
The event will also include a volunteer activity benefiting The Ali Forney Center, where attendees can help assemble hygiene kits for LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness.
Woof Fest is also partnering with The Good Dog Foundation, which provides therapy dog services throughout the region.
Before You Go
If you’re bringing your dog, you’ll need to complete a waiver before entering the plaza. Keep in mind the event can get crowded and loud, especially during performances and the costume contest, so it’s worth bringing water and planning a few breaks to keep your pup happy throughout the afternoon.
If your dog is sensitive, skittish, or prone to overheating, you might want to leave them safely at home and enjoy the day on your own. And of course, you don’t have to be a dog owner to attend. The event is open to everyone, so bring the whole family.
