Department of Sound — in partnership with the NBA Foundation and 916 Ink — is proud to present a free, week-long Summer of Sound Youth Music Production Camp on August 3-7, 2026. Taking place at The Imaginarium (3301 37th Avenue in Sacramento) from 10:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., the camp is open to youth ages 13–17 and features hands-on production workshops, lyric writing sessions, special guest speakers from the music industry, and free lunch each day.
Participants will learn how to create their own beats and will have the opportunity to release their music on SUMMEROFSOUND Vol. 1, culminating in a celebratory listening party to showcase their work.
