Anna Paulina Luna reports $690K haul, closing June with $1.45M on hand

U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna pulled in almost $690,000 during the second quarter of 2026. That means the Pinellas Republican closed June with more than $1.45 million cash on hand as she again gets targeted by House Democrats.

The quarterly fundraising was less than some targeted incumbents in the state including Democratic U.S. Rep. Darren Soto, but more than some colleagues dealing with scandal, such as Republican U.S. Rep. Cory Mills.

More significant, she raised more than Leela Gray, the Democratic frontrunner challenging her re-election. Gray announced early this month that she had just passed the $1 million mark last quarter, closing June with $750,000 on hand.

Luna’s net contributions over the course of the campaign now near $1.92 million as she seeks a third term representing Florida’s 13th Congressional District.

Contributions include almost $612,000 from individual donors, more than $399,000 of that from small donors. She also saw $17,500 from PACs.

She has raised that amount as she runs in a recently re-drawn district that trades part of her old constituency in south Pinellas County and picks up new voters in Pasco County.

But that puts her in a district where almost 56% of voters supported Republican Donald Trump for President in 2024. That year, Luna won a second term in a configuration of CD 13 where Trump carried just over 55% of the vote as she won just under that percentage.

Very quickly in the new election cycle, the House Majority PAC, which is closely associated with House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries. CD 13 was also quickly listed by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee as a “District in Play.” That puts Luna in a battleground district, as she has been every cycle she has run.

Luna first ran for Congress in 2020 against then-U.S. Rep. Charlie Crist, a St. Petersburg Democrat, and lost. But when the seat was open in 2022 and a new map drawn by Gov. Ron DeSantis made it more Republican-leaning, Luna won despite being significantly outspent by Democrat Eric Lynn. She bested Democrat Whitney Fox in 2024.
