It’s a day for the history books in New York City.

Knicks fervor reached a fever pitch Thursday as the NBA champions came up Broadway’s Canyon of Heroes in a celebratory parade that drew hundreds of thousands of fans from all over the region to share in the team’s historic triumph over the San Antonio Spurs.

The City Reporter was there to capture the spirit of jubilation as people crowded sidewalks and streets along the mile from Bowling Green to City Hall, erupting in a cacophony as the hometown heroes passed by. Below are some highlights from the jam-packed scene.
