Earlier this month, the Sacramento Metro Chamber officially surpassed 2,000 members, reaching an exciting milestone of 2,026 members in 2026 – a reflection of growing business momentum, regional collaboration, and increased engagement across the Capital Region. This milestone marks the highest membership level the organization has seen in more than a decade and comes during a period of significant growth for the Chamber, including expanded advocacy efforts, signature programming, and regional leadership initiatives.

While Chamber membership tends to fluctuate based on a variety of external factors ranging from staff transitions, economic issues, and changes in business directives, the Metro Chamber’s membership continues to experience a steady upward climb. In fact, in the span of two short years, the Sacramento Metro Chamber membership has more than doubled.

“When I joined the Sacramento Metro Chamber in January of 2024, one of my first priorities was focused on strengthening and growing our membership,” said Robert Heidt, President & CEO of the Sacramento Metro Chamber. “Reaching 2,026 members in 2026 is an exciting milestone and a testament of the incredible work of our entire Chamber team, our Board of Directors, volunteer leadership, and regional partners who believe in the work we are doing. Together, we are committed to creating valuable opportunities that make membership essential for business leaders looking to grow, connect, and help shape the future of the Capital Region.”

Milestones and momentum:

  • The Metro Chamber officially surpassed 2,000 members in 2026, reaching a milestone total of 2,026 members.
  • The 2,000th member was Aiden by Best Western Sacramento, a contemporary boutique hotel brand located in downtown Sacramento.
  • The 2,026th member was McCarthy Building Companies, a national construction company with a strong presence in the Capital Region.
  • In just two years, Sacramento Metro Chamber membership has more than doubled.
  • The Chamber represents businesses and organizations across six counties and 22 cities throughout the Capital Region.
  • More than 450 regional leaders participated in the Chamber’s 2026 Cap-to-Cap advocacy program in Washington, D.C., the largest chamber-led federal advocacy program of its kind in the nation.

“I’m proud to join the Sacramento Metro Chamber on behalf of McCarthy and represent the values that have long guided our work in this region,” said Jason Dreier, Senior Preconstruction Director of McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. “At McCarthy, we see our role as bigger than the projects we build — it’s about being a strong community partner, investing in the region’s future, and building lasting relationships with the local businesses, organizations, and partners that help our communities thrive. Joining the Chamber is a meaningful way for me to help advance McCarthy’s commitment to the places where our people live and work.”
