In recognition of Earth Day happening in April, the Midtown Association is celebrating its year-round focus on promoting heathy foods, sustainability, and the recently expanded circular retail area that emphasizes the importance of recycling, upcycled products, and sustainable business practices.  A variety of new circular retail businesses – such as ERTH Day Vintage, for example — have joined a lineup of up to 250 vendors that contribute to the market’s ability to offer fresh and healthy food access and options that support local farmers, growers and artisans.

Plus, in addition to the retail vendors focused on recycling/upcycling, the Market is filled with numerous other vendors committed to eco-friendly business practices, such as Crop Circle (composting), Eco Friendly Greens (microgreen farm), and Balance Me Out (coffee vendor committed to sustainability), just to name a few.

Voted as the #1 Best Farmers Market in California (and #3 in the U.S.), the Midtown Farmers Market is proudly sponsored by Sutter Health and presented by SMUD.  The open-air market first debuted in 2013 and is available on Saturdays year-round – rain or shine – with spring/summer hours now in effect from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The thriving, ever-growing and sprawling Midtown Farmers Market spans six-blocks.  To make it as easy as possible to navigate, the Market is identified by themed areas such as Artisan Alley, Boutique Boulevard, Market Square, Merchant Market, Producers Plaza, Savory Street, the Street Food Sacramento block, and now the Culinary Corridor presented by American Property Management.

In April, the Midtown Farmers Market offers a variety of special activations and entertaining music presented by SMUD as outlined below and taking place in Market Square located at 20th & K Streets (unless specified otherwise).
