The Complex Family Style Food Festival will return to New York on Saturday, July 11. This year’s festival will feature over 30 restaurants and streetwear collaborations at Pier 36 on the Lower East Side.

The festival is open to all ages and will run from noon to 8 p.m. at 299 South St. A press release described the event as a one-of-a-kind celebration of food, fashion and community, with exclusive dishes and clothing sold only at the festival.

Miles Canares started the festival in Los Angeles, CA, in 2019 alongside Bobby Kim and Ben Shenassafar from streetwear brand The Hundreds. The 2026 festival will be the second time the festival has been in New York, following last year’s event at Industry City in Brooklyn.

Last year’s Brooklyn festival was hosted by popular food critic and influencer, Keith Lee, alongside other celebrities such as comedian Eric Andre, musician André 3000, and NBA Hall of Famer Steve Nash.

The limited clothing and merchandise featured at the festival this year is centered around collaborations between different brands and restaurants. Off-White is paired with cocktail bar Double Chicken Please, Awake NY with Miss Lily’s, VandyThePink with Korean barbecue restaurant Baekjeong, Ksubi with Shmackwich, and more, according to the press release.

When it comes to food, this year’s festival will feature over 30 different restaurants that represent New York’s culinary scene. Vendors consist of names like Harlem’s Charles Pan-Fried Chicken, Greenpoint’s Taqueria Ramirez, Win Son, Aunts et Uncles, Baohaus, Cafe Colmado, Titi Empanadas, Regina’s Grocery, Golden Diner x Golden Hof and La Dinastia x Chino Grande, among other local spots.

“Family Style has always been inspired by cities that bring people together through food, and New York stands in a league of its own,” Canares said in a statement. “There’s an unmistakable energy to New York that makes it one of the most exciting culinary capitals in the world.”

Canares said that the organizers are “excited to bring Family Style back to the city and celebrate the chefs and communities that make New York so special.”

Children 12 and under receive free admission to the event. General admission as well as VIP tickets are on sale at familystylefest.com, with VIP tickets granting private section access, complimentary food, and an open bar, according to Family Style’s website.

After the New York location, Family Style festival will return to its original city of Los Angeles on Oct. 3-4 and then Miami on Dec. 5.
